This painting is based off a photo I took on the streets of Chicago years ago. I made a painting showing a more full image, but I like the way this image is cropped in this narrow frame. The face image becomes less recognizable and becomes more of a texture. The painting was make using palette knives with layers of thin oil paint on top.
