This painting was based on a photograph of my hands. I painted a larger version, but wanted to create something looser. I feel the organic and physical feel of this paint help communicate the hands as physical and natural objects.
The painting started as a “drip painting” utilizing the techniques Jackson Pollack used. The common latex paint was finished with layers of oil to create depth, but leave the drips. Painted in 2021.

To keep it simple, I’ve included the shipping in the total price. If you live in the Chicago area, we may be able to schedule a studio visit, or I may be able to deliver the paintings in person. It’s nice to be able to see the work in the intended space. I would love to meet and discuss my work and answer any questions you may have.
